US Colleges typically run from Aug/Sep to May/June of the following year.

In general, the breaks are during
- Thanksgiving usually last week of Nov)
- Christmas (mid Dec to early Jan)
- Spring Break (a week in March)
- Summer break at the end of the Spring Semester or Quarter.
