It looks like ABRSM diploma should be enough at a generic level.However, you need to consider the following:
1. Are you planning to major in Music? And you would like to credit for the diploma or IB once to get there;
OR
2. Are you planning to apply for some other major - and you are you want to make your application stronger with ABRSM diploma and IB Music?
If you plan to do 1), then the best advice to you would be to email to the colleges you plan to apply to, and ask them if IB Music is reqd., and what kind of academic credit you would get?
