Is there a physical application packet that needs to be sent to US Colleges in addition to applying online?

You'd have to check with the college, by sending an email, if they require any package to be sent apart from completing the general online application. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University requires all students to ship their high school transcript along with the verification of 10th grade certificate from the board that administered it.
