Usually US admission is dependent upon your school grades, standardized testing scores, admission essays and extracurricular activities. However, this is a very broad overview, you should check the admission requirements of every school that you're interested in individually. For scholarships, again, it depends on the individual college. Some offer merit based financial aid, where scholarships are awarded on the basis of the strength of your profile. Many, including the Ivy League+ offer need-based scholarships, which are awarded on the basis of your family's finances and assets.
